Sunday Mornings

My favorite day of the week is Sunday. Since I can remember my husband and I would wake up early, grab a paper for the crossword and head to our favorite coffee shop for an espresso macchiato. After we racked our brains over the usually unsolvable  crossword puzzle we would head out to explore. Sometimes we would end up at the markets (Fremont, U-District, Ballard) sometimes we would check out new furniture or antique stores. Yesterday was just another Sunday…

After coffee we made our was to Pacific Galleries between 1st and 4th ave downtown. This is one of my absolute favorite antique stores, mainly because it is HUGE! There is always something to be had or in my case a million things to be had.

This is my absolute favorite booth.  #9. I do not kid when I say I have made 4 trips to Seattle in the last month and a half just to look at this booth… but more specifically a lamp that has had my eye since October.

My favorite booth
I became the proud owner of this beauty yesterday… The first real piece of furniture I have invested money in (except the pink Lou Lou Ghost Chair by Kartell that I insisted my daughter have before she was even born… that’s for another post) I can not wait to put this lamp in our new home.

The beautiful lampHere are a few other items in this booth that caught my eye…

This beautiful aqua leather footstool is to die for! It kinda reminds me of a vintage bowling bag, I don’t know why. If I do ever decide to bowl, my bag with surely be these colors!

A gorgeous foot stoolI also ♥ this Art Deco yellow and lucite ice bucket! When I first saw this I thought of my friend Heather. She is always entertaining and has a beautiful collection of vintage finds so this would fit in perfectly.

Art deco yellow and lucite ice bucketHopefully my next purchase will be this set of 4 bird plates. I think that these would look amazing in an office or kitchen. I love the contrast of color with the gray background and orange beaks. The celadon meets asparagus tea pitcher isn’t bad either!

I ♥ this set of bird plates and the tea pitcher

I have many many more photos from other booths but I will save those for another day…
